Lembeh Strait stands among the world’s renowned diving destinations and is an absolute must for those exploring Indonesia. It has evolved into a prime spot for underwater photographers due to the wealth of unique critters dwelling here. Divers flock to Lembeh in search of rare creatures like the elusive hairy octopus, rarely seen elsewhere.
This diving haven caters to divers of all skill levels, offering mild currents, low surge, and shallow dive sites. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned photographer, the conditions are mostly pleasant. Water temperatures vary throughout the year, reaching around 28-29 degrees Celsius (82-84 Fahrenheit) from October to March and dropping to 25-26 degrees Celsius (79-81 Fahrenheit) in July and August. We suggest a 5mm wetsuit, especially for multiple dives per day, although we provide rentals for added layers if needed.
Regarding visibility, it averages around 10 meters. However, for muck diving, visibility is less crucial compared to reef diving.
